Social Events - Save The Dates

Social Events

The Kirk Session has a social events committee (which anyone from the church is more than welcome to join) that plans and runs a number of events each year which allow us as a church and our community to get together and, a times, raise some money for the church funds. Here are some dates for you diary:

COMMUNITY FUN DAY

SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST, 1PM – 4PM

Many of you will remember this from previous years. Everyone is invited to come along and join in some fun activities. We will be having the huge inflatable assault course in the Cowley Hall while the Fraser Hall will be filled with face painting, temporary tattoos, cupcake decorating for children, sunflower measuring, a tombola and a tuck shop. There will also be garden games and a bouncy castle for pre-school children. In the church, things will be a little less hectic with tea, coffee, home baking and music on offer in the chancel. Entry is £1 and tickets will be for sale over the summer and on the day.

We would be very grateful if you could help by donating tombola prizes and home baking. Greenbank’s home baking is legendary so a plentiful supply would be most appreciated. Prizes can be handed in and placed in the box in the Hall of Friendship in at any time over the summer. Baking can be handed in on the morning of the 31st.

GREENBANK’S 135th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION EVENING

SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER FROM 6.30PM

What a great excuse for a get together! We are at the planning stage but shopping, eating, games and entertainment are on the agenda. We will let you know more details as we firm up our ideas so watch this space in the September edition of Good Neighbour and put the date in your diary.

GREENBANK’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FAIR

SATURDAY, 23RD NOVEMBER 2019

The date of the Annual Christmas Fair this year is Saturday 23rd November, 10am until 1pm.

All the usual stalls will be there including the Christmas tearoom for that welcome cuppa and Christmas goodies. Stalls will include home baking, Christmas stall, brick a brac, chocolate tombola, toiletries/jewellery, unwanted gifts and many more as well as the children’s zone. Details of all stalls and more information will be given in September’s Good Neighbour.

Make a note of the date in your diary and together let’s make this year’s Fair the most successful to date.
