DETERMINING A SPECIFIC LEGACY
Our property dates from the 1880’s and presents many challenges in terms of fitness for purpose, accessibility and running costs. The largest and most costly space to heat and maintain (the sanctuary) lies empty for much of the time.
With a reducing and increasingly elderly congregation, we are faced with the challenge of generating sufficient income to meet all costs.
As we reflect on this, we are aware that we are the stewards of a legacy that was passed on to us and have a responsibility to make the best use of the resources at our disposal, to ensure
sustainability and to provide a legacy for future generations.
