COSY CAFÉ

It is hoped to resume Cosy Café after the Easter school holidays.  If we can get a similar number of volunteers as we had prior to lockdown, your time commitment would be one Friday afternoon roughly every six weeks from 2.45pm till 4pm.  A minimum of 2 adult volunteers would be helping each week.  You would be required to make hot chocolate and toast for the young people, mainly from Williamwood High school and interact with them.  If you think this is something you can help with please contact the church secretary at this email address as soon as possible.

SERVICES AT WILLIAMWOOD HOUSE & CLARKSTON CARE HOME

Care home visiting teams from local churches are about to resume leading services at Williamwood House on a Sunday afternoon on a rota basis. If you would like to be a member of the Greenbank team please email the church secretary at: office@greenbankglasgow.org.uk Worship Services are also being arranged at Clarkston Care Home for the second Tuesday of each month. Again, if you would like to be part of the Greenbank team please contact the church secretary.

UKRAINE APPEAL:

If you want to make a cash donation to the Church of Scotland Ukraine Appeal it has been confirmed by the central church that you should do so through your local church; the total monies raised will then be forwarded by Greenbank’s treasurer, Alistair Smith, to the Church of Scotland’s designated bank account.

Members who wish to contribute to the Ukraine appeal should therefore either:

  1. a) send donations by direct bank transfer to Greenbank Church’s bank account (sort code 82-69-05 account number 20031245), with reference “Ukraine” or
  2. b) put a cheque or cash in the weekly offering (or post/hand in cheques to Greenbank’s treasurer at 26 Stewart Drive, Clarkston G76 7EZ) in an enveloped marked “Ukraine” to enable the donation to be properly allocated and not confused with general offering income.

Please indicate if you wish your donation to be gift aided – either by email to “alistairdsmith@ntlworld.com” if your donation is by direct bank transfer or by a note with your cheque or cash donation.  If you donate by cash and wish to gift aid your donation, please remember to put your name and address on the envelope.

Once all the monies are collected Greenbank will send the total raised (including gift aid) in one bank transfer to the Church of Scotland’s Royal Bank of Scotland account.
