of the Centenary Chapel. Tickets for the Kirk Session Coffee Morning are attached. Communion takes place on 6th March.

NON-DISTRICT ELDERS, RETIRED ELDERS & ASSOCIATES should pick up their Kirk Session Coffee Morning tickets from the front of the

Centenary Chapel.

CHURCH TRANSPORT: Any passengers not attending church and any drivers changing the date of their turn between Sundays 31st

January and 28th February should notify Jim Guy on 638-5570 and he will take care of any alterations.

GLASGOW NE FOODBANK warmly invites you all to a get together/show on Thursday 25th February at 2pm titled 30-60-80. A one

woman show celebrating 3 lives spanning 50 years. It is being held in Calton Parkhead Parish Church. It is also an opportunity for

Greenbank and friends to meet some of the volunteers and find out how the foodbank you generously support operates –and it’s FREE!

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS are being collected by John Meek for B.B. equipment. Please hand them to John or put them in

the designated box in the Hall of Friendship.

WHAT’S ON IN GREENBANK

FAIRTRADE GOODS will be on sale in the Fraser Hall after morning service next week.

A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH at 6.30pm next Sunday – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written

on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.

THE NEXT MEETING OF THE GREENBANK FILM SOCIETY will be held tomorrow, Monday 8th February 2016 at 7.30pm in the Session

House. The film to be shown is “The Secret in their Eyes”, an excellent crime thriller which won the Oscar in 2009 for the best foreign

language film. This film should not be missed even if you’re not fond of films with sub-titles!!

ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON WENDY SANDIFORD will be making a return visit to the Guild to speak on Coco Chanel. All welcome.

THE FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ meets every Friday at 10am (except the last one of each month when you are invited to the Lunch Club). Why not

come along to the church halls for a cup of tea and a blether? Bring a friend – the more the merrier! Blair Miller

THE COLOUR CIRCLE ART EXHIBITION AND SALE: You are invited to view around 200 works of art by the Greenbank Colour Circle on

Saturday 13th February, 10am – 2pm in the church hall, in order to support the work of the Children’s Hospice Association of Scotland,

which provides the only hospice service in Scotland for children and young people with life limiting conditions. A children’s hospice offers

professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family, usually from the day of acceptance to the death of their

children and beyond. Do come and support this worthy cause. Tickets can be bought in advance for £2 from any member of the club or at

the door. This also buys your tea/coffee and home baking.

B.B. PARENTS’ COMMITTEE COFFEE MORNING & BOOK SALE on Saturday 20th February, 10am-12noon. Tickets available at the door,

priced £1.25.

THE KIRK SESSION COFFEE MORNING will be held on Saturday 19th March this year and your continuing support would be appreciated.

Tickets price £2 (children £1) will be available in February from Elders and Associates.

WORLD BOOK DAY AT BUSBY LIBRARY – THURSDAY 3RD MARCH, 2PM-3PM. Lady Wise, a local author, will be talking about her books

on the subjects of: 111 Tips when visiting someone in hospital and 111 Tips when caring for someone at home.

Throughout writing these books she has focused on how these tips would act as a guide for others enduring hospitals, visiting hospitals

and caring for their loved ones at home in order to collectively help their healing and reduce their stress levels. She will also be covering

topics of Power of Attorney, Wills, and making sure you don’t lose your home to nursing home fees.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK; or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the

Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards

can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls any time during

the week.
