TEA AND COFFEE is served in the Fraser Hall after the service. All welcome.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE of Miss Patricia Orr of 69 Carolside Avenue, Clarkston, whose death was announced last Sunday, will take place on Tuesday, 11th February at 11am at South Lanarkshire Crematorium.

A MEETING OF THE KIRK SESSION will take place on MONDAY 3RD FEBRUARY. Papers are available in the Centenary chapel for those who have not received them by email.

A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH at 6.30pm next Sunday – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.

DISTRICT VISITORS, who have not already done so, are asked to collect their copies of Good Neighbour and Life & Work from the room off the transept today please.

On Wednesday, Gordon Wilson will be visiting THE GUILD to talk about ‘The Waverley’. The meeting begins at 2.15pm and visitors will be very welcome.

THE 21STGREENBANK COLOUR CIRCLE ART EXHIBITION & SALE in aid of CHAS takes place on Saturday 8th February from 10am to 2pm. As well as paintings to view and buy, there will be a tearoom. Entry is £2 and includes a catalogue & tearoom. We also hope to have volunteers from CHAS with their stall of knitted goods.

ECO CONGREGATION – There is a meeting at St. Margaret’s, Newlands on 5th February at 10.30am. This is a big year for Glasgow, as the international climate change conference is coming to the city in November. If anyone has ideas for events in the year ahead or wants to attend the meeting on Wednesday please contact Audrey (639 5822).

THE GREENBANK FILM SOCIETY next meets on Monday, 10th February 2020 @ 7.30pm in the Session House. [Please note change from the date advertised in Good Neighbour]. The film will be one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most popular thrillers, “The Man Who Knew Too Much”, starring James Stewart and Doris Day. All welcome.

BUSBY FLOWER CLUB invites anyone who it interested to their meeting on Tuesday, 25th February at 7.30pmin Greenbank Church when there will be a demonstration & raffle (your first visit will be free). The Club will meet at Greenbank on the last Tuesday of each month until June before returning to its usual venue at The Redhurst Hotel.

A VOLUNTEER TO READ THE BIBLE LESSON on 29th March would be much appreciated. Please add your name and telephone number to the list and you will be contacted on the Friday of the preceding week with the readings.

LODGING HOUSE MISSION is in need of a volunteer cook to help cooking lunch (& possibly breakfast) in our busy kitchen on Saturday mornings. Other volunteers will give assistance. We have recently entered into a FOOD SHARE PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CO-OP across the road from the church to help reduce the amount of food waste by making use of, or distributing items that can no longer be sold. COSY CAFÉ VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED if you can help on a Friday, 2.45pmtill 4pm once or twice in a 4 month period, contact the church office on 644 1841 or email: greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk 3 adult volunteers help each week making hot chocolate and toast for the secondary school age children, supported by young volunteers.

SNAP COMMUNITY YOUTH CLUBfundraising opportunity through the Co-op (Oct 19-Oct 20). Using a Co-op card, 1% of the cost of co-op products purchased can be donated to SNAP – just nominate them online as your preferred charity.

GREENBANK CHURCH TRANSPORT provides a valuable service to enable passengers to attend Sunday morning worship. It operates with the help of a team of volunteer drivers who operate a 1 week in 5 rota. New drivers required, if you would like to help, please see Mark Allan (Church Transport Convener) or contact 0141 638 3916.
