TEA AND COFFEE will be served in the Fraser Hall after the morning service. All welcome.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE of Mr Martin Gardner of 47 Greenholm Avenue, Clarkston, will take place on Tuesday 29th January at 12noon here at Greenbank and thereafter at1pm at Linn Crematorium. Please remember Mr Gardner’s family and friends in your prayers.

AS ANNOUNCED LAST WEEK, THE FUNERAL SERVICE of Mr Allan Gray of 126 Eastwoodmains Road, Clarkston will take place on Monday, 28th January at 2pm at Linn Crematorium. Please remember Mr Gray’s family and friends in your prayers.

THERE WILL BE AMEETING OF THE KIRK SESSION ON MONDAY 4TH FEBRUARY. Papers are now available in the Centenary chapel for those who have not received them by e-mail.

ALL ELDERS: District elders can now pick up their Communion invitations along with their tickets for the Kirk Session Coffee Morning from the front row of the Centenary Chapel. Non district elders and retired elders can pick up their Kirk Session Coffee Morning tickets from the side of the Centenary Chapel.

THE CHURCH OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED NEXT FRIDAY, 1ST FEBRUARY (open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). If you have intimations for next week’s order please ensure that they arrive at the office by Wednesday morning please.

ASDA HAS CHOSEN SNAP COMMUNITY YOUTH CLUB as one of 3 nominees for the current green token scheme for local good causes which runs from now till the 31st March. Members of the congregation or friends of Greenbank who are shopping instore please pop your green tokens in the Youth Club box. If we win ASDA donate £500 to our funds or 2nd and 3rd earns us £200 which would help to boost our funds. Lindy Dallas

SATURDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB: Saturday, 2nd February, breakfast refreshments served from 8.45am, Room A.

THE GUILD – Our very good friend, Bill Stein, will be entertaining the Guild on Wednesday afternoon with the second part of his talk on ‘Climbing the Munros’. Visitors most welcome.

COMMUNITY CHOIR starts back on Wednesday, 30th January, 7.30pm -9.30pm. All welcome.

FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ will meet on Friday between 10am and 11ish, new customers or helpers very welcome. Enjoy some coffee or tea and our speciality toasted fruit loaf with butter. Blair Miller (577 5449)

COLOUR CIRCLE ART EXHIBITION AND SALE takes place on Saturday, 9th February, 10am – 2pm. Tickets £2, include tea, coffee and home baking (available from members or at the door). Proceeds in aid of CHAS.

SUNDAY MORNING TEA ROTA IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2019 in the Centenary Chapel. If you can help, please add your details opposite the date of your choice.

VOLUNTEERS TO READ THE BIBLE LESSONS IN MARCH would be much appreciated. Please add your name and telephone number to the service of your choice. You will be contacted on the Friday of the preceding week.

CHURCH TRANSPORT – There is currently an urgent need for a driver for the Greenbank Church transport rota. The duty would involve picking up passengers 1 week in 6 and bringing them to and from the Sunday morning service. Mark Allan [638 3916].

CHILDREN ARE MOST WELCOME to remain in church for the duration of the service however, if parents would prefer, we provide a CRÈCHE for children under 3 years of age in Room C, behind the stage in the church halls, for the duration of the service on Sundays when the Sunday Club meets.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK; or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.
