TEA AND COFFEE will be served in the Fraser Hall after the morning service. All welcome.
VOLUNTEERS FOR THE TEA/COFFEE ROTA ARE URGENTLY REQUIRED FOR 16TH, 23RD & 30TH APRIL; volunteers are also still required for the months of July & September; 1st, 8th, & 15th October and the month of December. If you or your organisation is able to help, even if only for one Sunday, please add your details opposite the date/s of your choice.
POSTIES STILL REQUIRED – Greenbank needs your help to deliver the leaflets about the Easter and Holy Week services round the Parish. Bundles of leaflets with the street or part of street attached can be picked up from the front of the Centenary Chapel. Thank you very much in anticipation of your participation.
REVISED COPIES OF THE AGENDA AND REPORTS for the Kirk Session meeting on 3rd April are available in the Centenary Chapel for those who have not received them by email.
THE CHURCH OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY OF NEXT WEEK. The following week the office will be OPEN on Thursday 13th April, 9.15am – 1.45pm.
COPIES OF THE MARCH PRESBYTERY REPORT are available in the Centenary Chapel for those who have not received it by email.
DISTRICT VISITORS, who have not already done so, are asked to collect their copies of Good Neighbour and Life & Work from the room off the transept today please.
GREENBANK’S FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ meets on Friday 7th April between 10.00am and 11.30am in the church halls.
THE CONGREGATION OF NEW KILPATRICK PARISH CHURCH, BEARSDEN invite all who remember Rev Roddy Hamilton, who was an assistant minister in Greenbank and was ordained here 25 years ago this month, to a celebratory service and presentation on Sunday 23rd April at 10.30am marking this significant anniversary.
A VOLUNTEER TO READ THE BIBLE LESSON ON 28TH MAY would be much appreciated. Please add your name and telephone number on that date to the list in the Centenary Chapel. You will be contacted on the preceding Friday with the readings.
GLASGOW NORTH EAST FOODBANK has won the Glasgow North East Community Champions Award. Thanks to all the volunteers from Greenbank and those who gave donations; which helped to make this achievement possible.
AFTERNOON TEA @ GREENBANK PARISH CHURCH HALL hosted by the pupils of Williamwood High School’s Malawi Partnership; on Saturday, 22nd April, 2pm-4pm; Adults £3; Children £1. All monies raised will go towards the building of a 3-classroom block for Ekwendeni Primary School.

THE GLASGOW STEDFAST ASSOCIATION is sponsoring a concert by the Salvation Army’s Govan Songsters on Thursday 27th April at 7.30pm in Clincarth Parish Church which is at the corner of Cathcart Road and Battlefield Road. Tickets are £5 and can be obtained from Bill Robertson (phone number 585 0008) or can be paid for at the door of the church on the night of the concert. As always, ,this is a fundraising concert for projects ,small and large, which are in need of money and which are being run by the Glasgow Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade. The Govan Songsters have a first class reputation for their concerts throughout Glasgow and neighbouring area. Please give them your support.
AN INVITATION IS EXTENDED to all members of the congregation to attend the 15th Annual General Meeting of the Lodging House Mission. The meeting will take place in the LHM building at 35 East Campbell Street, Glasgow G1 5DT on Wednesday 5th April at 7pm. All are welcome. If you require transport, please let me know. LODGING HOUSE MISSION EASTER APPEAL- You are invited to support the LHM this Easter by making a cash donation. The LHM is sorry if it seems that it is always appealing for financial support, but the needs of the clients are great – the numbers attending daily are in excess of 100, and opening hours have been extended to include Saturdays. Saturday opening provides free food and fellowship unavailable elsewhere in our city on that day. You can donate via the website www.lhm-glasgow.org.uk , by post (Lodging House Mission, 35 East Campbell Street, Glasgow G1 5DT), by telephone (552 0285), or you can use one of the envelopes in the Link Building and pass it to me if that suits you better. ALZHEIMER SCOTLAND –- MUSICAL MINDS SINGING GROUP WITH EDDIE – Come along to Clarkston House, 57 Stamperland Hill, G76 8AJ and join in our singing group as well as a cup of tea/coffee and scone for £2 and the chance to get together with other people with early stage dementia and their family members. The next meeting is on Tuesday 4th April, 10.30am to 12noon.
GOD WITH US CHOIR presents “The Wonder of the Cross” on Sunday 23rd April, 6.30pm – 7.30pm at Park Church, Giffnock. Free Admission, donations welcome, tea/coffee afterwards.
ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.
