IT IS WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of one of our members, Mr Allan Gray of 126 Eastwoodmains Road, Clarkston. Mr Gray’s funeral arrangements are still to be made. Please remember Mr Gray’s family and friends in your prayers.

IT IS ALSO WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of another member, Mr Martin Gardner of 47 Greenholm Avenue, Clarkston. Mr Gardner’s funeral arrangements are still to be made. Please remember Mr Gardner’s family and friends in your prayers.

‘WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY’ – As part of the annual pulpit exchange, Fr. Stephen Baillie from St Joseph’s will conduct our Sunday service here in Greenbank this morning; we extend a warm welcome to him. Our Minister will participate in the worship and preach at the service at St Joseph’s this morning. This evening, beginning at 6.30pm, there will then be an opportunity for everyone to meet up at Cartsbridge Evangelical Church for a special CCT service of worship featuring Alister Bull, Training and Development Officer with the organisation Hope for Justice. All welcome.

ASDA HAS CHOSEN SNAP COMMUNITY YOUTH CLUB as one of 3 nominees for the current green token scheme for local good causes which runs from now till the 31st March. Members of the congregation or friends of Greenbank who are shopping instore please pop your green tokens in the Youth Club box. If we win ASDA donate £500 to our funds or 2nd and 3rd earns us £200 which would help to boost our funds. Lindy Dallas

BURNS SUPPER, SUNDAY, 27TH JANUARY: There are still a few tickets remaining for the Supper. If you would like to attend please see Jan Millar in the Fraser Hall after morning service.

Attention All Burns Supper Ticket Holders: Please let Jan Millar know if you wish chicken or steak pie at the Supper (Jan will be in the halls at coffee time after church). Steak pie will be ordered for those who do not specifically request chicken. Jan Millar (258 4959) email: janh1@talktalk.net

THE GUILD – Morag Thow will be visiting The Guild on Wednesday afternoon at 2.15pm to talk about Osteoporosis and Bone Health. Visitors welcome.

LUNCH CLUB meets on Friday 25th January 12noon till 1.15pm. We look forward to seeing you all for soup and filled rolls, friendship and fellowship. If you wish to join us for lunch, but require a lift, please phone Jan (258 4959) or Maureen (639 5114).

COMMUNITY CHOIR starts back on Wednesday, 30th January, 7.30pm -9.30pm. All welcome.

SUNDAY MORNING TEA ROTA IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2019 in the Centenary Chapel. If you can help, please add your details opposite the date of your choice.

VOLUNTEERS TO READ THE BIBLE LESSONS IN MARCH would be much appreciated. Please add your name and telephone number to the service of your choice. You will be contacted on the Friday of the preceding week.

CHURCH TRANSPORT – There is currently an urgent need for a driver for the Greenbank Church transport rota. The duty would involve picking up passengers 1 week in 6 and bringing them to and from the Sunday morning service. Passengers greatly appreciate this facility, without which many would not be able to attend church regularly. If you can help, please contact Mark Allan on 638 3916.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK; or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.
