SCAM WARNING A number of people in the Clarkston area have recently received phone calls from individuals claiming to represent large organisations like HMRC, mobile telephone companies and power companies. The callers are very convincing and falsely state that money is owed on account. The callers also convince people that the money can be paid via debit/credit card and urge immediate payment on the phone. Please note that NO LEGITIMATE BUSINESS OR ORGANISATION WILL MAKE COLD CALLS OF THIS NATURE. Best advice if you receive a call like this is not even to confirm your name, address or anything about yourself and hang up. If you hang up right away it is highly unlikely that you will receive any further calls relating to this particular scam. In any case if you are left feeling vulnerable in any way contact Police Scotland on 101 and discuss it with them Graham Vance.

THE KIRK SESSION COFFEE MORNING will be held on Saturday 25th March this year, and your continuing support will be appreciated. Tickets, price £2 (Children £1), will be available throughout February and early March from Elders and Associates.
