TEA AND COFFEE will be served in the Fraser Hall after the morning service. All welcome.

THERE WILL BE A SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE LIFE OF LADY MARGARET BARTABY on Monday 19th June at 2.45pm here at Greenbank.  Please remember Lady Bartaby’s family and friends in your prayers.

FAIRTRADE GOODS will be on sale after the service today.

THERE WILL BE A SHORT COMMUNION SERVICE this afternoon at 3.00pm for those who were unable to attend last week’s services.

THE STATED ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CONGREGATION will be held in the church on Sunday 18th June at 11.45am. The only item on the Agenda will be the presentation of the 2016 Financial Accounts to the Congregation.

A NEW CHRISTIAN FILM “THE SHACK”(12A) IS NOW SHOWING AT CINEWORLD, SILVERBURN. Performances are at 1415, 1715 and 2015 today; and at 1715 only Monday to Thursday.

Showings started on Friday 9th June and the decision about whether to give the film a second week gets taken on Monday based on the first three days’ box office so please go today if you can.

ACTION AGAINST POVERTY is looking for any volunteers who would like to come to a training day on 24th June in Glasgow. They want to train up volunteers to enable them to run courses in their own churches on money management skills.  Please contact the church office on 644 1841 or greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk as soon as possible if this is something you would like to consider.

VOLUNTEERS TO READ THE BIBLE LESSONS OVER THE NEXT 3 MONTHS would be much appreciated. A new list is available in the Centenary Chapel and if you would be willing to read the lesson please add your name and telephone number to the service of your choice. You will be contacted on the Friday of the preceding week with the readings.

THE SOCIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE has trialled afternoon teas in various locations and feels this is something that is worthwhile continuing in an effort to help combat loneliness in our community, particularly amongst the elderly.   Volunteers from the congregation are required for this initiative, namely drivers, servers and bakers. If you would like to volunteer please add your name to the list in the Centenary Chapel or contact the church office at greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk or on 644 1841.

CHURCH CAR TRANSPORT – another driver required asap. – call Bill Robertson on 585 0008.

FOR THOSE WHO KINDLY DONATE STAMPS the latest poster from the Church of Scotland giving details of what the funds raised are used for is now displayed on the notice board in the hall.

CLARKSTON COMMUNITY CHOIR SUMMER CONCERT – Wednesday 14th June @ 7.30pm in Greenbank. Tickets £5.

SHAWL MINISTRY the next shawl ministry meeting will take place on 12th August not 5th August as originally planned.

THE EASTWOOD INTER-CHURCHES BOWLS TOURNAMENT is taking place at Giffnock Bowling Club on Saturday, 24thJune starting at 2pm. Any Greenbank members wanting to play should notify Bill Robertson on 585-0008 or Sadie Gould on 571-8808 by Sunday, 18th June. Entry is £4 and should be paid to either Bill or Sadie by this date.

If anyone has any INK CARTRIDGES to RECYCLE for Christion Aid, would they please put them in the labelled bin in the corridor By the hall. (N.B. Epson and unspecified makes cannot be recycled). Many thanks, Audrey Thomson.

GLASGOW NORTH EAST FOODBANK has an ever increasing demand on its resources and is running critically short of several items of food; Required items: Tinned tomatoes, UHT milk, UHT fruit juice, Tinned soup, Tinned vegetables, Tinned fruit and Rice pudding. Alex Howie.

THE FLOWER LIST is available on the transept windowsill. Anyone wishing to donate flowers is invited to add their name at the date of their choice.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.

NB:  IN ORDER TO MAXIMISE THE LIFE SPAN OF OUR  DRAINS AND DRIVE WAY SURFACE,  VEHICULAR ACCESS TO THE CHURCH IS ONLY FOR THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY AND THOSE DELIVERING ITEMS TO THE CHURCH AND HALLS. YOUR SUPPORT AND COMPLIANCE WITH THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
