‘VOLUNTEERING VOCATIONS’, A GAP YEAR SCHEME FOR YOUNG ADULTS AGED 18 – 25, has been running since 2015, and has proved a positive and inspiring experience for volunteers and their placement congregations alike. The Ministries Council of the Church of Scotland is hoping to continue the programme with a new group of volunteers in 2017– 18. The programme offers a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain experience of the different types of work within a parish or project in a supported environment, whilst exploring any potential call to serve the Church in the long term. A short film about the scheme made by our first group of volunteers can be viewed here:

https://www.tomorrowscalling.org/first-steps/volunteering/
