LENTEN STUDY GROUPS – PLEASE USE THE SHEET IN THE CENTENARY CHAPEL TO SIGN UP FOR ONE OF OUR GROUPS. Just add your details indicating which Lenten group you would like to attend by putting a tick in the column underneath your preferred day. The details of the venues, times and hosts of each of the groups are at the top of the sheet. After selecting a day, please take a note of the venue and the dates of your chosen study group and take a book which contains bible study material and the accompanying booklet. Both are entitled, “40 stories of Hope” (you may leave a contribution of £2 for the book). Names can also be left at the church office.
THERE WILL BE A MEETING OF THE KIRK SESSION in the Session House at 10.15am on Sunday, 25th February for the purpose of the admission of new Elders.
DISTRICT ELDERS please collect your communion invitations and Kirk Session Coffee Morning tickets from the front of the Centenary Chapel. Elders without districts and Associates should also collect their Coffee Morning tickets from the same location.
ARTICLES FOR THE MARCH EDITION of Good Neighbour should be received at the Church Office by TODAY.
THE SOCIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE will meet tomorrow for an hour at the manse at 7.30pm to discuss future events. Any interested members of the congregation will be made very welcome.
ON WEDNESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY (as Shrove Tuesday is a school holiday) our minister, in her capacity as one of the chaplains at Williamwood High School, is taking PANCAKES TO SCHOOL FOR THE PUPILS. Jeanne would much appreciate ANY DONATIONS OF PANCAKES which can be brought to the manse on Wednesday morning.
A very successful AFTERNOON TEA between Aidan’s View and Hawthorn Court was held on Saturday 28th October 2017. Another afternoon has been arranged for SATURDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2018 AT HAWTHORN COURT. We are looking for VOLUNTEER SERVERS, BAKERS AND DRIVERS. If you can help with any of these please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Centenary Chapel.

CHRISTIAN AID – The next fundraising activity is the 38th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale on Saturday, March 10th from 10am to 4pm in the Carmichael Hall, at Eastwood Park Leisure Centre next to the swimming pool. This is the same venue as last year. Please note the date in your diaries/phones. Entry will be by catalogue, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children. As I write, the artists are being invited to exhibit their work, and I hope that you will continue to support this popular annual event by coming along to view and to purchase some of the work on display; 1/3rd of the sale price is going to Christian Aid. The entry to the exhibition includes a cup of tea or coffee in the tea room which is also a popular place to meet friends and view the work on display. Thank you in anticipation of your support. SUNDAY MORNING TEA/COFFEE ROTA IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2018 in the Centenary Chapel. If your organisation can offer its services for a few Sundays please add your details opposite the date/s of your choice. There are still plenty of dates to choose from!
WHAT’S ON IN GREENBANK
A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH at 6.30pm TONIGHT – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.
THE GUILD is looking forward to a visit from Rev Catherine Beattie this Wednesday at 2.15pm, who is going to talk to us of “Working in Malawi”. Visitors will be most welcome.

THE POWER OF MUSIC FOR PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS: Creating singing groups for people with dementia – a workshop led by Diana Kerr, Dementia Consultant, Author and Singing Group Leader. ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the halls’ entrance.
