IT IS WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of one of our members, Mrs Phyllis Walker of Eastwood Court Care Home, Giffnock. Mrs Walker’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 13th April at 11am at Linn Crematorium. Please remember Mrs Walker’s family and friends in your prayers.
TODAY WE WELCOME the friends and family of Laura and Fraser and their daughter, Ella Patricia Simpson. Ella will be baptised this morning. We pray that as she seeks to follow Jesus, Ella will know His love and presence in her life.

TEA/COFFEE ROTA VOLUNTEERS STILL REQUIRED: The rota is now available for 2016 in the Centenary Chapel. If your organisation is able to help, even if only for a couple of Sundays, please add your details opposite the date/s of your choice.
ECO CONGREGATION: We are pleased to report a number of organisations are now using the china cups for tea/coffee after the services.
As an Eco-Congregation since 2010 it was proposed that paper cups be phased out. The washing of cups should not be too onerous, as it takes only 20 minutes, but if some groups find it too difficult a member of the Eco Group is willing to help.

WHAT’S ON IN GREENBANK
HOLIDAY CLUB HELPERS – There will be a short meeting of helpers for the Holiday Club after church this morning.
A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH this evening at 6.30pm – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.
THE NEXT MEETING OF THE GREENBANK FILM CLUB will be on Monday 11th April at 7.30pm n the Session House when the film on offer will be the much acclaimed “A Man for all Seasons”. A winner of multi-Oscars and Baftas, this historical drama, set in the court of Henry V!!! and boasting a star-studded cast, is the perfect film to bring our season to a close. All welcome.
THE EASTER HOLIDAY CLUB is running this year in our church halls from Monday the 11th till Friday 15th April, 10am-12noon. All primary school age children are welcome and can register by emailing Alison Harvey on alih21@virginmedia.com. or just come along tomorrow.

SATURDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB: During Lent a number of people came to the Lenten Book Club on Saturday mornings. The conversations were informal, informative and enjoyable and those who took part decided that they would like the Book Club to continue. The dates set for each meeting in 2016 are 30th April, 28th May, and 25th June, with a break for holidays continuing on 17th September, 29th October, and 26th November. The Book Club will meet at 9am for one hour with breakfast refreshments being served from 8.45am. Beginning with Deuteronomy we will be reading from the OLD TESTAMENT COVENANT HISTORY – a fresh presentation of the Old Testament historical books. If you would like a copy of the book we are reading please contact the Church office so one can be ordered for you. I look forward to seeing you there. – Jeanne.
ON THURSDAY 5TH MAY AT 7.30PM, a 60-strong choir from the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium (High School) in Nagold, near Stuttgart, Germany will be performing in Greenbank. The youngsters are very musical and highly motivated and have already toured Europe with their choral repertoire.
Entry to the concert is free but a donation would be greatly appreciated.

CALEDONIAN FIDDLE ORCHESTRA: This well -known orchestra is giving a concert, on behalf of the Glasgow Stedfast Association,on Thursday, 28th April in Clincarthill Parish Church at 7.30pm. Tickets,£5 each, can be obtained from Bill Robertson(585-0008) or just turn up at the door and pay then. The proceeds from the concert are going to Glasgow Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade in order for money to be given to companies or for special projects, to be used at the Battalion’s discretion.
“MUSICAL CLASSICS” at Giffnock South Parish Church Sunday 24th April 2.30pm-4pm, featuring Christian Scheeberger & Davidona Pittock, soloists from the Conservatoire, with Alan Gillan & Martin Bennie on the organ. Tickets £5 include Tea/Coffee.
ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK; or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls any time during the week.
