IT IS WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of one of our members, Mrs Doris MacIver, of Eastwood Court Care Home, 1 Eastwoodmains Road, Giffnock. Mrs MacIver’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, 19th March at 3.45pm at Linn Crematorium. Please remember Mrs MacIver’s family and friends in your prayers.

OUR MINISTER WILL BE ON ANNUAL LEAVE from Friday, 8th March to Saturday, 16th March inclusive. If you require a minister during this time or have any pastoral requests please contact our Session Clerk, Mr Derek Christie (638 0044) or our Deputy Session Clerk, Mr Peter Liddell (638 7870).

THE KIRK SESSION COFFEE MORNING is on Saturday 23rd March, tickets (£2) Children (£1) are available from Elders/Associates. Ticket monies will be gratefully received by Alan Veitch or can be handed in at church office.

TUESDAY NIGHT HOLY WEEK SERVICE AT GREENBANK CHURCH – on Sunday,14th April there will be a rehearsal here at Greenbank at 5pm, for the Tuesday night Holy week service. All young people wishing to take part in the service are invited to attend.

ATTENTION ELDERS (ACTIVE AND RETIRED) & ASSOCIATES! Have you uplifted your Kirk Session Coffee Morning tickets from the front row of the centenary chapel? If not, please do so.

THE SUNDAY MORNING TEA ROTA IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2019 in the Centenary Chapel. Volunteers are still required for the whole month of April. If you can help, please add your details at the date of your choice.

DISTRICT VISITORS: District 51 has no visitor at present, 10 homes, all on Greenwood Road, ideal for a man? Anyone willing to help, please contact Margot/Gordon Blyth (638 7646).

SCRIPTURE UNION BIBLE READING NOTES for the next quarter are available for those who ordered them in the Centenary Chapel.

ARTICLES FOR THE APRIL EDITION OF GOOD NEIGHBOUR should be received at the Church Office by Sunday, 17th March.                          

VOLUNTEERS TO READ THE BIBLE LESSONS OVER THE NEXT 3 MONTHS would be much appreciated. A new list is available in the Centenary Chapel. If you would be willing to read the lesson please add your name and telephone number to the service of your choice. You will be contacted on the Friday of the preceding week with the readings.

WHAT’S ON AT GREENBANK

A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH at 6.30pm ON 17TH MARCH – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.

We look forward to our good friend, JILL LIDDELL, visiting THE GUILD on Wednesday at 2.15pm and leading our annual Quiz afternoon. Visitors welcome.

FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ, Fridays @ 10am, at the church halls, come for a cup of tea and a blether. B Miller (577 5449)

CHURCH TRANSPORT – There is currently an urgent need for a driver for the Greenbank Church transport rota. The duty would involve picking up passengers 1 week in 6 and bringing them to and from the Sunday morning service. Mark Allan [638 3916].

ASDA HAS CHOSEN SNAP COMMUNITY YOUTH CLUB as one of 3 nominees for the current green token scheme (runs till the 31st March) if shopping there, pop your green tokens in the Youth Club box. If we win ASDA donate £500 to our funds. L. Dallas

CCT LENTEN DISCUSSION GROUPS continue during the weeks of Lent, based on ‘The Mystery of God’. Booklets can be found in the Centenary Chapel – discussion group dates & venues included. All welcome! (Booklets are also available from church office).

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK; or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.
