WE WELCOME THE VERY REV. JOHN CHALMERS who will conduct our worship this morning. Harvest Sunday Appeal

All members of the congregation are invited to donate non-perishable food items to the LHM at our Harvest service on Sunday 2nd October. Jesus and Me paining the logo

We’ve started back at JAM and Sunday Club after the summer break and we’ve been thinking about the Lord’s Prayer these past few weeks. We had a lot of fun together at our Family Day where the Mums and Dads joined us and we made paper chain prayers and a canvas with our handprints. JAM have been painting their room with their new logo and creating a blackboard to use for discussions on a Sunday morning. Charlie Clegg on University Challenge

I had long wanted to be on ‘University Challenge’ and can now look back with great satisfaction on an appearance on the show with the team from St. John’s College, Oxford that took us all the way to the final and through a very enjoyable experience. The team selection was conducted by a former contestant in College, who bothered to inform me of it personally before the advertisement for auditions went out. Apparently of the sixteen people who went for the team, I was the standout candidate, which is nice to know.......

URGENT APPEAL

URGENT APPEAL: Greenbank has been invited to join St Joseph’s church to support the Edinburgh charity Re-act who need people to donate basic items for the refuges who arrive with nothing on the Greek island of Samos. The following items are urgently needed: socks, summer hats and underwear for all ages, towels, sunscreen, nappies of all sizes, baby cream, soap and push chairs (strollers).
