WHAT DO THEY TALK ABOUT? The Kirk Session met on 7 December 2015 with 57 members attending. The following issues were discussed. Worship: A busy schedule of church services was taking place in December, including Nine Lessons in Carols, Watchnight and Christmas Day services. Messy Church continued to attract strong support. Concern was raised about the Local authority’s decision to sell Bonnyton House Care Home. Members of our partner church, in the east end of Glasgow, Garthamlock and Craigend East Parish Church, have combined their love of knitting/crocheting into a Shawl Ministry which reaches out to those in need of comfort and support, as well as in celebration and joy. Some recipients continue the kindness by making a shawl for someone else. Thus, the prayer blessings ripple from person-to-person, with both the giver and receiver feeling the embrace of God’s love around them.
