About BKA

One of the oldest clubs in Scotland, Bushido Karate Club was founded on 28 April 1974 by Donald MacInnes, at the Muirend Pavillion in the south side of Glasgow. Sensei MacInnes is now a 8th Dan Black Belt. The Bushido group soon spread its wings and opened further clubs throughout Glasgow.

The Bushido group has produced many individual and team champions throughout its 35 year history. In one of its more notable years (1982) Bushido won senior, junior and ladies team events and virtually all individual events in the Karate Union of Scotland National Championships held at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
