PRAYER OF THE WEEK

Lord,

We know that material things are only ours for a short time,

yet still we gather and hoard like squirrels preparing for winter.

Help us to remember that the riches we should hoard

are those that we can bring with us

when we come to dwell in your house.

Amen.
