IT IS WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of, Mrs June Morton of 5 Lembert Drive, Clarkston. Mrs Morton’s funeral will take place on Wednesday, 2nd October at 10am at Linn Crematorium. Please remember Mrs Morton’s family and friends in your prayers.

IT IS ALSO WITH SADNESS that we announce the death of one of our members, Mrs Mary Mackay, of Kingsgate Nursing Home, Glasgow Road, East Kilbride. Mrs Mackay’s funeral has still to be arranged. Please remember Mrs Mackay’s family and friends in your prayers.

THE CONGREGATION WISH Joanne Hart and Jordan Hunt, whose wedding takes place this afternoon, and Natalie Chalmers and Graham Scott, whose wedding takes place on Saturday, 5th October, every blessing on the occasion of their marriages.

DISTRICT ELDERS Communion invitations, Christmas Fair tickets and financial campaign envelopes are now available for collection from the front of the Centenary Chapel. Communion takes place on Sunday 3rd November.

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed next week. It will reopen on Monday, 7th October at 9am.

SATURDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB meets in the church halls, Room A on Saturday, 5th October to continue reading, ‘The Books of the Bible – The Prophets’, a fresh, yet ancient, presentation of scripture, all welcome.

135TH GREENBANK CELEBRATION, Saturday 5th October @ 6.30pm, BYOB, fizz reception, fish supper tea, shopping stalls, fun & games. ‘For One Night Only’, after a successful performance at a Greenbank Ladies Night, Stephen Blanchflower’s troupe makes a return appearance! ‘The Runway Theatre Company, who have an enviable reputation for high quality productions from the world of musical theatre will bring the evening to a close with some songs from their repertoire. Tickets £12 from the Social Events Committee: L. Dallas, J. Liddell, S. Johnston, E. Johnstone, A. Martin, J. Millar, A. Maclure, S. Inglis, S. Blanchflower or G. Vance.

FAIRTRADE GOODS are on sale in the halls after the service nextSunday.

A PRAYERS FOR HEALING SERVICE will take place in the CHURCH at 6.30pm next Sunday, 6th October – all welcome. Prayer requests can be written on the pew cards and inserted in the Prayer Box at the front door of the church.

DISTRICT VISITORS are asked to collect their copies of Good Neighbour and Life & Work from the room off the transept today please.

SCRIPTURE UNION BIBLE READING NOTES for the next quarter are available for those who ordered them in the Centenary Chapel.

OUR MINISTER, Jeanne Roddick, will be speaking to THE GUILD on Wednesday afternoon at 2.15pm and will carry out a short act of rededication.

COFFEE MORNINGGlasgow Presbytery Office staff Coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support @ Garthamlock and Craigend Parish Church on 22nd November and would welcome any donations of knitted items for one of their stalls. Items can be left at Greenbank’s church office.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK, or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, please fill out a POSTCARD (placed on the pews). Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members or posted through the halls letterbox.
