It is with sadness that we announce the death of one of our retired elders, John T Baird. A private cremation has taken place. A service of Thanksgiving is planned, details to follow in due course.
KIRK SESSION MEETING: There will be a meeting of the Kirk Session on Monday 2nd September at 7.30pm in the Sanctuary. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please sign the apologies sheet on the table in the transept or email the Session Clerk.

SATURDAY BOOK CLUB: We are continuing to look at Timothy Keller’s book “Encounters with Jesus “. Our next meeting is on Saturday 7th September at 10am in the crèche, just off the Hall of Friendship, where we will be looking at chapter 8 “The Obedient Master “. Please bring along a cup if you would like tea or coffee. New members will be made very welcome, so please come along. For further information please call Ronnie McNeill on 07796 002517.
DONATIONS REQUIRED: The LHM trolley and GNE foodbank box are back in the Link Building, which is open for all donations on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings.
LHM DONATIONS: Tins of baked beans, tinned fruit, UHT milk and diluting juice are urgently required at the moment. Donations of deodorant, hairbrushes, facial wipes and men and women’s razors would also be very much appreciated.
GNE FOODBANK: Greenbank has still been a great support for the foodbank over the summer even with all activities in recess. We thank you. The donation box, along with the LHM trolley, is back in the link building and there is a new list there of items mainly required. Tinned and packet foods, including meat ,vegetables, UHT milk and juice drinks, fruit, custard ,mash, large size nappies, toiletries. We can’t take fresh foods.
KELVINGROVE ORGAN RECITALS: Our organist, Peter Howard, will be performing the recital at Kelvingrove Art Gallery on Saturday 7th September at 1pm. All are welcome to attend and recitals are free of charge.
GOOD NEIGHBOUR FOR SEPTEMBER: The September edition of the Good Neighbour is now available for delivery by district visitors.
