13th May Intimations

INTIMATIONS 13/5/18

TEA AND COFFEE will be served in the Fraser Hall after the morning service. All welcome.

DISTRICT ELDERS – Communion invitations are now ready for delivery and can be uplifted from the front of the Centenary Chapel.

A LASTING LEGACY – Please take time to respond to the invitation in the March and May Good Neighbour editions to submit your thoughts on the key characteristics of a sustainable worshipping congregation of Gods people; being a community hub, welcoming, relevant, a seven day a week church and burden free. A fuller description of these characteristics was in the March article and is repeated in an updated display in the corridor outside the Fraser Hall. We hope to use these characteristics as a reference point when making future decisions, including decisions on our property needs. The Session would be very interested in your views on these characteristics. Do they seem to you to be the right ones to describe the kind of sustainable, worshipping congregation we all wish for in our community for years to come? If you use email then please email your thoughts to greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk. Alternatively you can send written comments to the church office. All views are welcome.

ARTICLES FOR THE JUNE EDITION OF GOOD NEIGHBOUR – any remaining articles must reach the church office by Monday 14th May.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK this year is from 13th-19th May. Volunteers are needed to fulfil our target of visiting every home within the Parish to carry out door to door collections. If you would like to be a collector, please come to the Fraser Hall following the service on 13th May where you will receive an envelope containing all you will need to collect within your allocated district. Donations should be returned to the church on Friday 18th May between 7pm and 9pm, or on Tuesday 22nd May between 7pm and 8pm. Volunteers are also required to count the donations on these evenings. Please consider supporting Christian Aid either by collecting or by helping with the count. There will be a ‘Big Brekkie’ event following the morning service on 13th May when you will be able to enjoy a bacon roll and pancakes with your Tea or coffee. A donation to Christian Aid would be greatly appreciated. This was a great success last year and we hope you enjoy it once again. Your support during Christian Aid week will make a difference to those in greatest need. Mark Allan 638 3916
