Church Service Intimations

WELCOME AND INTIMATIONS

TEA AND COFFEE will be served in the Fraser Hall after the morning service. All welcome.

THERE WILL BE A MEETING OF THE KIRK SESSION in the Session House on Sunday 25th August at 11.45am.

ARTICLES FOR THE SEPTEMBER EDITION OF GOOD NEIGHBOUR should be received at the Church Office by today.Please send all articles directly to the office at greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed on Friday instead of Wednesday this week so please send any intimations for next week’s order to the office before Thursday.

REMINDER – THE SOCIAL EVENTS TEAM is meeting tomorrow,Monday 12th August at 7pm at the Manse.

GOOD NEIGHBOUR delivery will restart on Sunday 25th August. We are short of District visitors for District 40 (around Eastwoodmains Road, 8 homes) and District 79 (Newton Mearns, 10 homes). Could you be the ‘someone’ to volunteer? Please contact Margot or Gordon Blyth (0141 638 7646) or contact the church office (0141 6441841).

COSY CAFÉ: Only one person on one date (31 Jan) still required to volunteer [2.45pm till 4pm]. This could be a chance to try out volunteering for the club. A minimum of 3 adult volunteers help each week as well as young volunteers. You would be required to make hot chocolate and toast for the young people and interact with them. If you think this is something you can help with please contact the church office on 644 1841 or greenbank.office@tiscali.co.uk as soon as possible.

THE CONIC HILL above Balmaha is the next challenge for the Greenbank Walking Group on Saturday 17th August, leaving the church at 9.30am. For more details and also to confirm you wish to join us, please contact Allan and Ishbel McLaren on 639 5848.

PLEASE NOTE, over the summer LIFE & WORK is not delivered by the district visitors. The August edition is available from the Flower Room.

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN OR KNOW MORE ABOUT GREENBANK, or knows someone who would appreciate a visit from the Minister in hospital or wishes to be prayed for, is invited to fill out one of the POSTCARDS placed on the pew boards. Completed postcards can be handed to welcome team members at the church door or posted through the letterbox at the entrance to the halls.
