GUIDES, BROWNIES AND RAINBOWS IN GREENBANK
It's that time of year again when we are winding down for
summer. Sadly, some leaders are winding down permanently which
leaves plenty of places for you to fill.
Rainbow guides
- This is the youngest section of the Girl Guide organisation.
The girls can join at 5 and remain in rainbows until they enter
Brownies at 7. At the moment 1st Clarkston Rainbows meet in the
church Hall on Wednesday evening 6.00 - 7.00 pm during school
term time, where they enjoy a variety of activities. There is,
however, a waiting list and we accept names from the age of four.
Brownies
- There are four Brownie packs within Greenbank and any girl
between the ages of 7 and 10 is very welcome to come along. within
each pack, songs are sung, games are played, things are made,
visits undertaken and there are pack holidays and of course,
lots more. after making their promise, the girls make an imaginary
journey every year: footpath, roadwa; and highway. as they travel,
they must learn new skills or improve on old ones. At the end
of her highway journey, the Brownie will be ready to move to
Guides.
