 Crisis fund
The Crisis fund was established some years ago so that Greenbank
could respond quickly to an emergency or disaster. Rather than setting
up a retiring offering or waitin g for funds to be released by a full
meeting of the Congregational Board, this fund which can be
accessed quickly was set up.
We will always tell the congregation what has been done and
how much has been sent to the appeal. If this means the funds
are low we may then ask for a retiring offering to make up some
of the amount sent. However the main source of income for this
fund is the Elders' Coffee Morning - now an annual event in February.
Church flowers
Flower s for the church can be donated by members and are placed
on the Communion Table, in the Centenary chapel or on the side
windowsills on Sunday.
After the service these are given to members of the congregation who, through sickness, bereavement, etc are especially remembered
by the Church.
Lists for those wishing to donate are kept in the transept and
volunteers to deliver are asked for every Sunday.
The names of those who donate are given in the paper edition
of Good Neighbour.
Church transport
Church transport is available each Sunday of the year and
is intended for the elderly and/or infirm who would otherwise
be unable to attend Church.
If you would like to request a lift because of health difficulties
that would prevent you from attending Church then this service
could be for you.
Library
There are adult and children's books available for borrowing
by any of the congregation. They are located on two trolleys
in the Link building
