Rev Jeanne Roddick, B.D.
Jeanne Roddick, was born
in 1955 and educated at Bellahouston Academy. She has been a
member of the Church of Scotland for some 30 years and was ordained
an elder in 1991
Jeanne graduated B.D. with
honours in Practical Theology Faculty of Divinity at the University
of Glasgow in 1999. She was licensed to preach by the Presbytery
of Glasgow in 2000.
While studying she was a
student assistant at Colinton in Edinburgh and Cathcart South.
On graduating she was student assistant at Cathcart Old and from
September 2000 to February 2002 was probationer assistant at
Newlands South.
During her ministerial career
she has been locum minister with responsibility for the worship
and pastoral care of other churches. She has had varied experience
including exposure to chaplaincy in primary and secondary schools
and in the Victoria Infirmary. She has conducted services in
homes for the elderly, had experience of pastoral work with children
and been involved in the administration of "Glasgow, the
Caring City" charity.
She was ordained and inducted
in the church on Wednesday 1 October 2003
