WHAT'S ON AT GREENBANK

The new season of The Greenbank Film Society is about to re-commence, so the DVDs are being looked out along with the tablet recipes.  The first meeting will be held on Monday 6th September at 7.30pm in the Session House when the classic film “The Caine Mutiny”, starring Humphrey Bogart, José Ferrer and Van Johnson will be shown.  All welcome.

The Greenbank Colour Circle will recommence on Tuesday 7th September at 9am and 1pm.  If you can no longer manage to be with us this session please let us know on the 7th so that we can serve our waiting list.  Thank you.  Bert McCrum

The Church Choir begins rehearsals for the 2010/11 session on Thursday 16 September at 7:30pm in the Church. We would be delighted to welcome more members: anyone who is interested should speak to Peter Howard for more information, or just come along to a practice.

Friday Service: The short service of worship will resume on 10th September at 11.30am in the church.

Age Gap is practising for the first time this session after the morning service on Sunday 12 September and will participate in the morning service on 19 September.   We would warmly welcome anyone who would like to come along and sing or play an instrument.  For more details please contact Val 0141 638 2146.

KIRK SESSION DAY CONFERENCE 18th SEPTEMBER 2010

All Elders and Associate Elders are reminded that the Kirk Session Day Conference will take place on Saturday 18th September from 10am – 4pm in the church halls.  The conference will be considering specific goals for Greenbank over the next two years, in each of the four areas of worship, fellowship, outreach and stewardship and reflecting on some of the implications of this for the way we deploy our resources of people, time and money.  Apart from Elders, and Associate Elders any member of the congregation is welcome to attend the Conference.  Elders and Associate Elders are asked to sign the apology sheet, as usual, if they cannot attend.

There are still a few places remaining for this session in the Greenbank Junior Badminton Club.  If you are interested in playing badminton and making new friends on a Saturday afternoon between 2pm and 4.30pm and are in P7-S4 please contact Jane **
