This year – 2012 – is an important one for the Church of Scotland Guild as we celebrate our 125^th Anniversary.  The Guild was founded by Rev. Professor Archibald Charteris in 1887.  Official celebrations are to take place later in the year and we will keep everyone informed of what will be taking place.  It may be of interest to Church members to know that nationally from September 2009 until December 2011 the Guild has raised over £521,843 for various world-wide projects.  Meantime the second half of our session is under way and an excellent varied syllabus has been organised.

Advance notice of the annual World Day of Prayer, which will be held on Friday, 2^nd March 2012 at 7.30pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Clarkston.  Please note that there will be only one service this year and that it will be held in the evening.
