STAMPS
Many thanks for your efforts to date. Please note, however, a change - they
no longer want, not surprisingly, any more ordinary second class (blue) and
first class (gold) stamps.
Do please, however, keep the other stamps coming, especially the British
special stamps issued each month by the Post Office which have a good resale
value.
Thank you in anticipation!

CHURCH ARCHIVE
The church possesses an album of 32 photographs of the surrounding area
taken in 1885. Anyone interested in seeing this should phone me to arrange
a suitable viewing time.
Some of the photos are not in good condition due to foxing. If anyone knows
how to deal with this I would appreciate their advice. Also if anyone has
any old photographs or postcards of the area and would be willing to donate
them or allow them to be copied there is space in the album for them.

REVIEW
Death in Holy
Orders by P D James
Published in 2007 by Penguin Books
The story is
set in an Anglican Theological College on a stretch of the East Anglican
coast. When the body of one of the students is found on the shore, his
wealthy father demands that Scotland Yard should re-examine the verdict of
accidental death. Commander Adam Dalgleish had visited the College in his
boyhood and, as he is due for a holiday, agrees to pay the College a visit.
The weekend brings yet another murder and he soon finds himself embroiled in
one of the most puzzling cases of his career.
*Far more
than just a detective story, written with care, feeling and detail. I am
sure you will enjoy this book as much as I did.
