SAVING
ENERGY AND IMPROVING COMFORT IN THE CHURCH HALLS
The
purchase of four thermostats for the halls was approved by the Kirk
Session and has been implemented by the Fabric Committee. The thermostats
have been received and are awaiting installation. This should reduce
energy consumption, save money and provide greater comfort within the
halls during every season of the year

How to reduce your petrol/diesel costs and also help the environment.
(Every gallon of fuel saved reduces 20 pounds of CO2 released into the
atmosphere.)

Maintain correct tyre pressures. (Safety and economic benefits)

Drive smoothly and when it is practical use a higher gear.

Switch off engine when you will not immediately be moving forward.

Share your journeys whenever possible.

Keep the weight of your car down by not carrying unnecessary items.

Use air conditioning and other electronic devices sparingly

Keep your speed down. (Just leave earlier!)
