PRAYER DIARY

The Prayer of the Week from each Sunday’s Order of Service can be used as a starting point for prayer during the following week. Prayer Promoter

“He calls you will do it, because he is faithful”                                                                1 Thessalonians 5:24       GNB

As the work of the Kirk Session’s “Vision Strategy Group” draws towards a final report, pray that God will guide us to inspiring ways of being Christ’s Church, which will truly put Greenbank at the heart of the community of Clarkston.

Please pray for all organisations within Greenbank.  Give thanks for all those who worked hard over Christmas and New Year to give people a warm welcome to our church.

Give thanks for the year round commitment of our minister, office bearers, leaders and helpers of organisations and all members of the church staff.

Pray for members of Glasgow Presbytery as they make the final decision on the future allocations for ministers within Glasgow Presbytery.  Pray for all congregations as they reflect and consider what this means for the future of their own church and pray that they will find a constructive and hopeful way forward by which to share the gospel.

Pray for those of our congregation and parish who are suffering in body, mind or spirit, remembering all those named on our “Prayers for Healing List”.  Pray for those close to death, all who care for them and for the bereaved.

Ask God’s blessing on Jeanne and her family and pray that Jeanne will have the love and support of all within the Greenbank family.

“We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him.”                           Romans 8:28a   GNB

PRAYERS FOR HEALING

A Prayers for Healing service takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month in the ‘Upper Room’ [room above the vestry] from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.  Everyone welcome.

Prayer requests can be given to our prayer promoter or to our Minister, Rev. Jeanne Roddick, or put in the Prayer box at the front of the church at any time.

Copies of the Prayers for Healing List are on the table in the Centenary Chapel for those who wish to use them during their own prayer time.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Personal prayer requests can be made to our Prayer Promoter

If you need prayer for yourself, a loved one or a friend please use the Prayer Card which can be found at the end of the church pews and place it in the box at the front door of the church. You can also make a call at any time to the Minister or our Prayer Promoter **

Those for whom prayers have been requested, will be prayed for at the monthly “Prayers for Healing” service and each week of the succeeding month, by the prayer group.  If there is a need for prayer beyond 4-6 weeks, please repeat your request on further prayer cards, so that prayers can continue.
