Dear Friends, One of my favourite books is ‘Pillars of the Earth’ written by Ken Follet. The story is set in the middle of 12th century England. Set against historical events, the book explores the development of the medieval architecture and building work which produced the great European Cathedrals. MEMBERS OF OUR PARTNER CHURCH, in the east end of Glasgow, Garthamlock & Craigend East Parish Church, have combined their love of knitting/crocheting into a SHAWL MINISTRY which reaches out to those in need of comfort and support, as well as in celebration and joy. The shawl makers begin with prayers and blessings for the recipient.
